Hobie Getaway Forward Trampoline
Hobie Getaway Forward Trampoline or front trampoline is constructed of black mesh unlike the Hobie factory version. Polypropylene mesh is the ideal material for beach cat tramps because it is light, strong and comfortable with very good UV resistance and does not pool water. Polypropylene Mesh is far superior to the Nylon Mesh that Hobie uses, this trampoline should last 2-3 times as long as the Hobie version.
This tramp is not made by Hobie Cat and is therefore is not legal for Hobie Class racing. It is still made in California by sailors for sailors.
Murrays black mesh trampolines are more comfortable and will last 2-3 times as long as the factory nylon webbing trampolines.

Please select the year your Getaway was manufactured so that the bolt rope is the correct diameter.
Quick identifiers:
2000-2001 – trampoline track slot on the hulls is pointing upwards – 3/8″ bolt rope
2002-2016 – trampoline track slot on the hulls is angled downwards – 1/4″ bolt rope
2018+ – New wave penetrating style hulls with the lower portion of the bow extending past the top of the bow.
Thread Options:UV exposure is the main thing that degrades the tramp stitching.
– Nylon Thread is the standard construction, we recommend this for people who cover their boats or store them indoors half of the year or more.
– Teflon thread is much more UV resistant and extends the life of the tramp. We primarily recommend the Teflon thread for boats that are left uncovered in the sun for the majority of the year.
Life expectancy – With Nylon thread if left mostly uncovered these should last 5-9 years. Teflon thread should last 9-15 years in the sun. If you cover them they can last 20-30 years.
